Saturday 11:40am

I'm not sure if you know this but I'm still a get up and go to work everyday person and not some marketing expert or even an experienced entrepreneur. I started last May of this year and have experienced probably what most would consider above average results. I don't look at it this way as I know anyone can make money online and it's not rocket science either!

Right now I’m exhausted. I have been up without sleep since Thursday at 9:00PM EST. I know it’s good to have energy but this can’t be good for me! I’ve actually got to go to a wedding at 7:00EST tonight at Stonewall in Rocky Mount, NC. Stonewall is a historic Manor circa 1830.

There was an emergency at work in the department I run so I had to go in and be there all night long last night and til’10:30 this morning. I came home and have been working on my sites since. I’m to the point I’m not even sleepy if that’s possible. I generally push myself too hard most of the time. I actually consider myself to be on some sort of accelerated plan to work online full-time and so far it has paid off. Not only have I met a lot of interesting people but also I have come leaps and bounds since May 2006 in reaching all my goals in a fraction of the time. My original goal was to double my income every month but between May and June my sales actually exploded and grew outrageously into July and these first several days of August. What I consider to be my profit building activities consume no more than probably 30 minutes a day but I do spend more time researching and developing my latest obsession, which is Google Adwords. I checked my clickbank account before I left work this morning and I already had 4 sales @ $40.84 a piece.

Not to speak in riddles but if you are not Making Money Online maybe you are reaching for something that has already found you. Remember, every silver lining has a touch of gray! I know if I can do this then anyone can. Maybe you just need to focus on what you know you are good at? And include your affiliate link:-) So now I dare you to move like today never happened before..Take Care, Jerry Moore

Despite knowing better (even against my own advice!) I have become obsessed with becoming an expert in an area that I once was very weak in. That is Google Adwords. I figured out a bunch of tricks over the last few weeks that are keeping my CPC low and this week I’ve been working on improving my conversion rate. I’ve been playing around with split testing ads - changing territories and regions all the way down to specific cities. I also am trying to get resell rights to some of Perry Marshall's Adwords videos but so far no luck! So maybe I'll have to make my own. Who knows?

Anyway I found a new neat trick which, initially at least, seems to be keeping my CPC much lower than ever before and more importanly much lower than the competition (more on this later). Also if you think click fraud doesn’t happen on Google then think again! Most of the false clicks I get are from other advertisers seeing what I am offering and maybe even to run my budget up. You get charged for these and Google will not refund your money either even if you can prove it. Google will investigate if you can forward stats showing a software bot was clicking on your ads though. If you get many competitors across the board clicking on your ads this really adds up and can break your budget or make you quit. Luckily Holly’s techniques for profiting online work so well I can afford to spend thousands of dollars on Adwords if necessary because I am making so much in the other aspects of my business. I’ve noticed when I first place an ad I’ll get a ton of clicks that don’t convert driving the conversion rate down to below 1%. However I don’t panic, as I know these clicks are probably from competitors checking out the new competition. After an ad has been rotated for a few days I’ve noticed the conversion rate will start to rise and give a true indication of its true market value.

If you are new to Adwords be sure to either disable content search under campaign settings or set the CPC very low for that option. Content search is not very targeted and converts poorly. It can and does work but not the same way that your ads do when they are rotated into the search results.

If you don’t want to use Adwords as a means to promote an affiliate product there is an even more powerful way to utilize it. That is in simple product creation. Pick an area you want to create an informational product about and place an ad to be rotated in the search results specific to that topic. Set up a name squeeze page that has a comments box. The page should state that you are finalizing an informational product on whatever your topic is and just for sending you their biggest questions on that topic you will give them a copy absolutely FREE. I ran an ad like this for two days and got around 50-75 useful responses. I looked through the questions and made sure I included the answers to all of them in the product I was creating. I then took the top 7 questions I received and in the sales letter I included that those questions would be answered in the product when purchased. This is how I created my first tight niche product and it only took a total of three days from start to finish. I started out selling it for $9.97 (sold 60) then $7.97 (sold 75) and now give it away free for opting into one of my lists (1,100 opt ins so far to just this one list but unfortunately not responsive to IM products I have recommended). I learned this technique from Russell Brunson who founded sublimenet.com. I have created 3 more products since then but have yet to start marketing them yet. I am currently studying Mike Filsaime’s prelaunch techniques before releasing them.

I’ll have to write more later as I have a minor crisis here at home. My 6-year-old daughter is in the den crying because “Jack” (Leonardo Dicaprio) 'got frozen' at the end of Titanic. My 3-year-old daughter is crying because my 6-year-old is crying! I knew I shouldn’t have let them watch HBO! Have a Good Weekend.

One is a major project that my script programmer went AWOL on. The other two are graphics projects.

I want to take the time to give something back to someone who I have been more than impressed with. Sweety is a 25 year old woman from India and is not the cheapest but is far from being the most expensive either. More importantly she is reliable and always delivers on time! If I had let Sweety do the graphics I needed my new website MooreProfits.com would already be online! When she designed this Ebook cover a few months ago (please don't opt in as I'm running split tests right now) she sent the file in .psd with three color schemes. That way I could easily edit the text and edit the colors as needed. This was way more than I asked her to do and only cost $35!

If anyone needs any graphics just email sweety@designershut.com and tell her Jerry Moore spoke highly of her.

Best Adwords Trick

Here’s my best trick for Google adwords. If your CTR is low you will be penalized by having to increase your minimum bid in order to enable some of your keywords. Instead of doing that I look and see if the keywords that have become disabled are productive (have at least a 1-65 conversion rate). If they are I start a new campaign and put the exact keyword phrase that was disabled in the ad title. Now this is impossible for every campaign because I have had a few that had 20,000 or more keywords. In that case I just let it go until I can build a new campaign all together.

For example if one of my best keywords that became disabled was ' holly mann ' I would create an ad variation that is titled ‘ Holly Mann ’ This helps keep the CPC low while everyone else is paying more for non-productivity. This works as I have paid as little as 3 cents a click while everyone else was paying 40 to 65 cents a click for the same keyword phrase!

If I keep telling all my secrets I’ll be back here in a few months asking for help! JK!

On a side note my servers have been down all afternoon b/c there are power outages in AZ and ipower web says its generators are down! So basically I am at their mercy right now. That’s a bad feeling. I am seriously considering buying everything needed to host my own domains! Have a Good Weekend Everyone!

Warm Regards,
Jerry Moore

Sometimes you have to be careful about who you interact with online as everything is not as it seems. I learned this once again this week as I saw my inbox filled up with hundreds of nasty emails from someone who harvested my email address from live journal. As a result I'm not posting anymore-contact information about myself.

I had a major server problem this week that finally got resolved after I took matters into my own hands and hired someone from scriptlance to fix it! My web hosting company is ipower web and I have been less than impressed with the two servers that host my websites! My disk inodes got maxed out at 750,000, which is unbelievable! Long story short my programmer said it was the worst case of mass email to an IP he had ever seen. After disabling part of the ”send mail" features on the server it literally took over 3 hours to delete it all. He also said there was more mail sitting there waiting to get in but it couldn't since my server was basically shut down!

The worst thing that happened this week though is NOW my other programmer is AWOL! I received an email a week ago saying his Internet connection was going in and out so his availability was limited. Now he just will not respond. I dealt with him on two small projects previously but this latest project was a big one and I think he may have gotten overwhelmed. I will have to repost this project on scriptlance now and find someone else. Delays. Delays. Delays.

I'm taking my daughters to have their pictures made at 4:00pm EST and then we'll probably go out to eat or something. So I will have my hands full! I have a free membership site I have been working on for a while so I'll probably continue work on that this weekend. My graphics designer got into a rush so the header didn't turn out quite like I wanted it but I may have it redone later.

I exchanged some emails with Nick Temple today and I will be purchasing some software through him tonight. He's giving me a copy of JV Firesale Automator and Split Payment Automator and resell rights for both for ordering through his affiliate link. Sounds like two more excellent scripts to throw in with the OTO I am setting up!

As a side note: Nick Temple has been long thought to be the Easy Chair Millionaire but he's said first hand that he is not! He has simply promoted the program on his blog.

Hi and Thank You for the nice comments publicly and privately:-)

My best-generalized advice is if you are not getting the results you want or especially no results at all then change what you are doing. If you are just posting in one forum then join other forums. All you need is 1 sale to parlay into more success.

This is a real example about how different people just excel at different things. I helped a friend get signed up through clickbank on Sunday. She chose to promote a product that I would never have personally. She did nothing but send a few emails out with her affiliate link and posted in a few forums which I helped her find. Within 20 minutes she made $33.60! She then went into other forums and wrote about the program, her affiliation and how she made $33.60 in 20 minutes. Amazingly she went on to make over $136 Sunday alone with just posting her real experiences to other people who desire to Get Results marketing online. What does this tell me? Her best skills are:

1. Effective writing skills. An ability to write an ad copy that compels the reader to click and view the sales copy of the affiliate program she is promoting. This is as far as your job goes. At this point it's up to the sales letter to do the rest. Holly's Ebook(http://www.honestriches.com) converts well and is very affordable so start with it!

2. A natural ability to work the business and not let it work you!
Only a small percentage of what you do will produce profits. By just having one sell and being able to identify what you did to make that sell you can focus your efforts on strictly the activities that produce profit!

3. Beginners Luck... I am serious! Sometimes it's best to think about what you are doing by using your common sense. Would you click on your ad? Would you go to your webpage or blog and delve deeper into the information, click on an affiliate link and read the sales letter?

I am willing to help anyone I can but this is Really Good general advice to Start making sales right now!

Find out what your best skills are and focus on that! If you are a good interior designer offline then you will be excellent at building a website! Use Holly’s methods for gaining search engine rank. If you work well talking face to face with others then take your Offline personality and figure out how to put it in Online on your webpage or blog and in your ads! By using the natural talents that you have your business will Explode! You just need to believe in yourself and take the appropriate action to start profiting from it right now!

To your continued Success,

Jerry Moore

UPDATE: The clickbank product she is promoting is Affiliate Cash Vault.

Odds are you already know everything you need to start making money online. If you haven’t already and are just checking out this forum - Buy Holly Mann’s Ebook(http://www.honestriches.com)! When I first started in this business- again-a few months ago I knew first hand it was possible to make money online. I say again because I was a member of clickbank in 1998. There was a program called the “Cookie Cutter” that was basically a sales letter about “ how to make $200-$300 a day.” It was created by Gary White and included resale rights. Gary made direct sales himself but also harvested all the email addresses of those who joined through other people. I sold a bunch of the “Cookie Cutter “ marketing systems through clickbank - as much as $80 a day. A dollar went a little further in 1998 so this was great additional income. There was only one problem. Since the sales letter was also the marketing system the whole thing was shutdown. Gary tried to start another program that was an affiliate boot camp but it was not successful. At the same time I lost interest and quit working online. Where would I be now had I not done that? I used to wonder what he did with those tens of thousands of email addresses he had stored on his computer.

This second time around I, like you, started with simply buying Holly’s Ebook. I saw an ad for the Rich Jerk and clicked on it. To see if this guy was legit I Googled “Rich Jerk” and came across Holly’s Ebook and purchased it. That Saturday in May I had not the first intention of buying an Ebook about how to make money online but I’m glad I did. I made a ton of mistakes in the beginning. I had several successful Internet Marketers (many of which you can only contact through a help desk) willing to help me and even work with me but I burned bridges and didn’t go about things the right way. This in turn costs me hundreds of dollars in lost sales and maybe much much more in future joint ventures. It’s important to do things the right way! I’ll get into more marketing mistakes I made later.

For now I want to tell you where I am at and if I can do it.. Anyone Can! Last Saturday I made 20 sales using the exact methods you already know. The same information that you read in Holly’s Ebook. The only thing I changed was my focus! I started strictly working on profit building activities instead of checking my email 50 times a day and my clickbank account 100 times! You don’t have to put off making money today because you aren’t through with your web site or blog! Spend time posting in forums or placing ads. Set up an autoresponder and place ads that direct people to email you for more information so you can start building a list. If you have a web site, work on building backlinks for 30 minutes a day and spend 30 more minutes posting in forums. By leveraging what I am good at I have been able to produce a fulltime income in just a few months and I know you can do the same! As a result I can now outsource the things I am not good at to people who are. Figure out which part of this business you are good at and concentrate on that in the beginning! I also have a great software program in development that I know will help increase sales for many people. I’ll probably even give it away in this forum when it is complete in exchange for just giving me your opinion on it.

To your continued Success,

Jerry Moore
